I haven't posted anything in nearly two weeks. My absence is due to a lot of things that I have going on right now... let me explain.

Our nanny found a job at a childcare center so now we are looking for new options for our son. Honestly, I'm kind of angry about it.

Spring fever

I am so ready for Spring! The last time is snowed here was April 2nd- I guess the April fools day joke was on us. In thinking about Spring I'd like to do a mini-makeover on our deck. You know I like my mini-makeovers. 

We have a pretty good sized deck and will likely use it for the entire warm season. I see it as an extension of our kitchen and living room so it will be dual purposed.

Thoughts on Thursday

- I found about 10 instances throughout this blog where I incorrectly spelled desserts and desert. ::HEADDESK:: Really though?? No worries, they've all been fixed.

I keep meaning to give you guys the world's hugest thanks!!! I meant to publish this awhile ago but clearly I'm slowly losing it... but ....

I pity the fool!

Last Monday was April Fool's Day. I've never really done anything for April's Fool's Day as my family is quite a set of jokester's all year long, no need for a special day. Okay, one year I told my now husband that I was pregnant and he was over the moon excited! I felt awful for having to burst his bubble but grateful that I knew I had someone who would stick around and share in my joy :)

However, my lack of creativity doesn't stop others.

Easter Weekend

For the past 4 years my Easter weekend has always started with Maundy Thursday and Ended with Resurrection Sunday. I worked at a Catholic institution and while I am not Catholic 'Holy Week' is one of several things that the two sectors of the Christian faith share.

This year is different. I am now at a public institution so religion has nothing to do with anything :( I did however, at the last minute, decide to shift my schedule around and have Good Friday off.

Another month has gone by. Time really seems to be flying for me. I know I say that often and parents of little ones can probably relate. I was once told that parenthood is where the days are long and the years are short.
