THE OTHER DETAILS

Continued from 'how I told him'

We continued on with these weekly visits much to my surprise and pleasure. Every week there was progress and every week my bloodwork came back great. Despite that Tuesdays were the worse day of the week for me. There would be slight small spotting. At one point I got really freaked out and swore I was miscarrying. One night I was crying so hard my husband had 'had enough'. He made me call the doctors office thee very next morning. We were sitting at the gas station when he was like "call, right now!" I put up a good fight and have a slew of reasons why I would just wait until our next appointment. Then he started to google the number so I had to give in and call. I told the nurse that all my symptoms disappeared and I had major cramps. She assured me that it was normal but then told me to come in the next morning so I didn't worry all weekend.

So Friday, December 12th

April recap

So far we've been having a great year.

I usually expect for January & February to be low key since we spend a lot of time visiting family & friends during the holiday season. But it was far from low key. We travel a lot during those time. March was a lot of fun too... really fun. So now we are up to April ( at least here on this ol' blog) and I have to bring you up to date on the happenings that month.

April started off with a bang. I had been counting down the day until Easter Sunday. That's when our families got together and altogether we found out the sex of baby #2. It was so much fun! And of course I'll be filling you in soon!

I don't have many pictures from Resurrections Sunday Service. But I did get a few shots of Buggy's Easter egg hunt. Next year I have to hid his eggs a little harder- he was so good at it! And to think there will be someone hunting for eggs with him next year :-)

April also bought more family celebrations (boy do we like our celebrations!). I had been looking forward to this as well. We were able to go "back home" see our family and have a good time. But before I get to that i must mention we were actually "back home" two weekends in a row. The prior weekend (which actually happened to be March) we came down for my cousins housewarming and my God daughter's 10th birthday party.

The day before Easter we got to celebrate my Aunt's 60th birthday. It was a surprise party thrown by my cousin and she was completely surprised.

This month Buggy also started with Soccer. This little guy I tell ya! First skiing then soccer. I'm not sure what'll be next.

About mid-April we experience the first warm weather day of the year. And it was heavenly. for about 3 to 4 days the temperature kept climbing until we reached the high 60's. Life was good.

And then about a week later this happened...

No, your eyes do not deceive you. That is snow... in April... for 3 days straight. WHY?!?!?!? We did end up ending the month with the day's high of 64 so I can't complain too much. Unless the snow decides to return in May. *shudders*

HOW I TOLD HIM

Continued from 'how I found out'

The rest of the week went by pretty quickly. I was actually enjoying myself at the conference. Got a chance to see my old boss, met some new colleagues, and hung out with my college roommate one night too! My husband called me a conference geek because I actually ran out of note taking paper on like day 3. My son seemed to be doing well without me but we still missed each other and for the love of God I was pregnant!!!!!

It was always on my mind.

Babymoon!

This girl right here. Lucky. Very lucky I tell ya! Here are 5 wonderful reasons why I'm feeling so lucky right now!!

1. Hubby booked us a babymoon. Yep, a babymoon. Some refer to it as the time after which a baby is born when mom and baby bond together. Others refers to it as the 'last vacation' the parents take before baby is born. I'm going with the latter.

HOW I FOUND OUT

I know it's been awhile since I shared my good amazing news and I'm not sure if it was good or bad that I waited this long to fill ya in on the details. But, here ya go!

Monday December 1, 2014

I woke up ridiculously early that morning because I had a 7 am flight to catch. We had gotten back to our house pretty late the night before as we were traveling back from Thanksgiving break with our family back home.

I got ready and my husband put my bags in the car. We bundled up our sleeping son and

Weekend recap: Diggerland

Disclaimer: This happened in October 2014 and was written November 2014. So, don't get confused when you see Halloween references- Ha!

I was so excited about this trip. I've been waiting to take my son here since it's opening in June. I knew he would love it and it was supposed to be apart of his "birthday theme."

My son had no idea this place existed so I knew once we got there his mind would be blown away. And I was correct! It's just under a two hour drive (from my parents house) so he fell asleep during the car ride down. All he knew is that we were going on an adventure!

The things I don't want to forget

Our little babies don't stay little forever. Just the other day while hanging out with my son I thought "I wish I could bottle this moment and relive it whenever I want". I wasn't about to whip out my phone to take a picture or record our interactions because I wanted to really be present but also because we just weren't doing anything.

In response to okie dokie:

March recap: a week in NOLA

There was actually more to March than our big vacation. But the vacation is most note worthy.
We set out to New Orleans, Louisiana for a a week filled with (little did we know) sunshine. It was a welcome surprise considering the weather forecast was predicting rain the entire time, and the fact that it was still very much cold where we live.

Buggy is a champion flyer so

A Mother's Day Announcement

I get so emotional on Mother's (and Father's) Day. I can't help but to think how lucky I am to have an amazing mom who is around to care for us, guide us, and put up with our antics.

Random thoughts from months gone by

Disclaimer: This was written in October 2014. That will explain some of the confusing references like December events and apple orchards.
Recently, a couple of things happened that made me feel kind of crappy. I hate that I can get so affected by other people's actions/decisions. I'm trying to look on the brighter side of things though and it helps.
An extended family member sold my Uncle's house. Now don't get me wrong- she had every right to do so and was the best decision for her family, I just wish she would've told us me before she did it. I'm also not saying that she has to reported her decisions to us but it would've been nice to have the opportunity to buy it and keep in in the family. I know this makes zero sense to anyone who is reading this but I loved that house and definitely would've like to have it. I keep telling myself that it wasn't meant for it to stay in the family but I really had high hopes and dreams of making that my vacation home. I think I sound kind of bratty but I don't have the time or energy for a full back story to help everyone understand.
Not too far from the house. We used to walk here often.

Happy May!!

Yep, it's official. I'm averaging a post about once every three months. When I first started I was able to post daily, now... I just wish I was posting weekly. I have to catch up on the goings on of the last three months- which I plan to do over the next couple of posts. But first a little housekeeping blogkeeping.

I missed this little space of mine. I always have thoughts running through my head about potential blog posts but unfortunately can never get around to it. I guess that's life. Many of the bloggers who inspired me to blog (especially the first blog I really followed) are no longer blogging. I'm not sure if that means it's not a cool thing anymore or we have all gotten really busy. I still keep up with my favorites offering a comment here or there but I don't have an online presence like I used to.
